2023/2/24に開催された第26回『D.I.C.E Award』授賞式にてGame of the Yearを『ELDEN RING』が獲得しました！
D.I.C.E Awardとは、ゲーム業界の専門家らが構成している非営利団体、Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciencesが主催するゲームイベントです。
その中でもGame of the Yearはゲーム業界のアカデミー賞とも呼ばれており、その年最高のゲームを決めるイベントとなっています！
そして第26回のGame of the Yearはフロム・ソフトウェアの『ELDEN RING』が獲得したというわけですね。
更に『ELDEN RING』はGame of the Yearの他にも
- 『Outstanding Achievement in Game Design』
- 『Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction』
- 『Outstanding Technical Achievement』
- 『Role-Playing Game of the year』
の計5つの賞を獲得しており、フロム・ソフトウェアの宮崎英高氏らに記念のトロフィーを贈呈しています。
そしてGame of the Yearを取れなかったものの『ELDEN RING』とノミネート数で争ったのは、ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテイメントの『ゴッド・オブ・ウォー ラグナロク』です。
『ゴッド・オブ・ウォー ラグナロク』は『ELDEN RING』を上回る7つの賞を獲得しています！
